Gill Varley : Copywriter and editor (web and print)
Gill is a copywriter and editor with over twelve years' information and communications experience. She has written and edited content for the Welsh Assembly Government, Department for Work and Pensions, Sustrans, UnLtd, Gapwork Educational Publishing, Bassac, Tenant Participation Advisory Service, Contact a Family and others.
Gill also works as a copywriter and editor for Teesside University. She has a business degree, Chartered Institute of Marketing qualifications and is currently studying digital marketing with the Institute of Direct Marketing.
Mike Walters : Website designer and developer
Mike has worked for several web agencies over the last ten years. He started with a small multi-media agency in Cardiff in 1998, then moved on to London and the Motorola website with Icon Medialab. Since then he has worked in both the private and public sector, most recently with the University of York.
He has experience in all the roles required in a web design company - database programming, web design, business analysis and account management. He is a Professional Member of the British Computer Society, and a PRINCE2 Practitioner.
Mike Walters and Gill Varley created Sparkleweb in 2003. They were both working as independent freelancers and saw their talents complemented each other perfectly.
